Prayer to Saint Gerald of Mayela
Saint Gerald dedicated his life to helping others. He divided his earnings to his mother, to the poor, and to the church. He became a lay brother in 1748 in Italy for the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer. He became known for his supernatural abilities of prophecy, mind reading, healing, and being able to appear in two places at the same time. It was believed that he had the power to influence animals and nature. He is the patron of childbirth.
